Now interviewing Accounting Operations Manager
To manage accounting, personnel files, payroll, and administrative responsibilities at the restaurant level.

 

Essential functions:

 - Accounting:
 - Accountable for daily sales reporting (DSR)
 - Counts, balances, and par’s banks
 - Reconciles deposit and prepares for armored car pickup
 - Responsible for petty cash accounting
 - Secures assets in safe
 - Accountable for ordering and inventorying gift certificates/cards
 - Processes employee tips for distribution
 - Determines change required for operation (place receive, and verify order as necessary) 

 - Participates in preparation of inventory reports, bi-weekly and monthly

 - Processes invoices and obtains management approval
 - Answers vendor calls regarding payment status
 - Prepares mid-period and end of period statements (P&L)
 - Processes deposits for banquet functions
 - Reconciles banquet deposits and house accounts
 - Codes invoices to correct accounting categories
 - Maintains computerized sales systems to reflect actual item prices

Personnel Related Functions:
 - Manages and maintains employment files and lists
 - Accountable for maintaining I-9 forms
 - Communicates with corporate level store payroll associate
 - Resource for employee questions and problems with respect to the following:

 - Tuition assistance/ reimbursement 

 - Leave of absence (LOA)

 - Savings plans (401K, etc.)
 - Employee verification

 - Trains servers and bartenders on checkout procedures

 - Resource for employees and managers on employment laws (i.e. FMLA, etc.). 

 

Payroll:

  •  - Monitors payroll data:
     - Computer file maintenance for employee payroll records  Generates and analyze reports (wage and hour analysis)  Balances internal payroll reports to actual dollars

  •  - Prepares payroll checks for distribution

  •  - Answers employee questions and problems

  •  - Calculates vacation pay and availability for employee

  •  - Maintains management payroll and accuracy

  •  - General office administration:

  •  - Prepares home office, inter-company, and US mail

    Qualification standards:

     - Maturity and empathy to deal with employee problems
     - Communication skills verbal and written
     - Ability to perform effectively under variable conditions of stress
     - Above average ability on Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Outlook computer programs  Flexibility to work late evenings, holidays, and weekends as required
     - Practice discretion with sensitive and confidential information.
