Description
Job Summary:
To oversee the successful completion of projects developed by the Culinary and Marketing Team by assisting with developing materials and internal cross functional working processes that are consistent with the Brand. Assisting with the implementation and updating of these materials, and ensuring to the successful integration of these processes’ and materials with the applicable functions and persons with Brinker and Maggiano’s.
Job Responsibilities:
- Very strong organizational skills. Efficiently balances time and attention given to multiple demands and competing priorities
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, sufficient to deal with cross functional team strategy and meetings
- Drives and maintains pace of Culinary & Marketing innovation and recipe development / integration process
- Performs administrative support for Culinary Initiatives to include Regional Meeting Training, AD Training, Menu Rollouts, Features Windows, Innovations tests.
- Maintains consistent lines of communication with internal departments and Culinary & Marketing by generating correspondence that includes emails, voice mails, and written reports
- Works with the Innovation team, Culinary & Marketing, and other internal teams including Training, Marketing, Culinary, Finance, Purchasing, QA, Distribution, Design, and People Works (Human Resources) regarding critical dates, rollout dates, costing, tests, and all internal changes as documented in 4 phase Innovation process and sees it through to integration.
- Assists with the timelines - development, hand off, finalization and implementation of Culinary & Marketing initiatives
- Finalizes, maintains, and organizes recipes as needed using a systematic approach on the internal company platform and in Menu Link; the restaurant operating system.
- Responsible for finalizing all written materials for specific Culinary & Marketing initiatives
- Work closely with Research & Development Chef during 4 Phase R & D development process
- Subject matter expert on Kitchen Systems, Recipes and Kitchen materials, innovation process, purchasing timelines and procedures
- Assists with maintaining notes and feedback from Product Reviews and Culinary Councils
- Responsible for hand off from C & M food and beverage related initiatives to SCT Quality Assurance, Training, PW, Finance, Operations, and Communication.
- Assist with communication of C & M related rollouts -
- Gatekeeper to OTC documents for change within Brinker and Maggiano’s to consolidate and integrate changes within team effectively
- Updating of Kitchen related materials (MWT, Line Checks, Prep Checks) for new restaurant openings, materials, procedures and processes
- Oversee menu and features handoffs from C & M from organizing descriptions, inventory item numbers, photos, and Kitchen related systems like MWT, Line Checks, Prep Checks, Banquet Systems, Portioning Guides and Garnish guides.

Requirements
Work Experience:
- Minimum 2 years high level administrative support function knowledge with strong project manager experience
- Culinary and Marketing menu and process knowledge
- Finance knowledge and BOH system necessary
Education/Training:
- Restaurant operations experience required
- Maggiano’s or Chili’s restaurant operations experience at a Manager level preferred
- Culinary, Finance, Marketing knowledge preferred
- College Degree / Culinary School Graduate / Restaurant Hospitality Degree or certificate
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to manager multiple projects from inception to completion
- Well-organized, self-managing with strong time management skills
- Project Management - Ability to multi-task, work flexible hours, including nights and weekends when necessary and function effectively in cross-departmental teams and task forces.
- Proficient in word processing, email, and Internet skills for internal and external communication needs.
- Software Aptitude - Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Acrobat proficient
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Minimal travel, only if needed for rollouts
